Résumé
Ce livre richement illustré présente une sélection des travaux de huit photographes suisses et internationaux ; il montre comment le Rolex Learning Center a été imaginé et comment les usagers se le sont approprié. The Rolex Learning Center on the campus of EPFL in Lausanne was inaugurated in 2010. Designed by the noted Tokyo firm Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA, the building has since become one of the most visited works of contemporary architecture in Switzerland.
The list of technical challenges inherent in the construction is extensive : its original and complex structure compelled the building engineers to come up with innovative solutions. Based on a selection of the work of eight noted photographers, this generously illustrated volume also explains how the Rolex Learning Center was imagined and how it is used today. Ouvrage bilingue : Français, Anglais
